Connecting TeleStepper

  1. Plugin the PresenterTek TeleStepper Computer Interface to your computer via USB

  2. Open FluidPrompter’s app menu

  3. Open “Connected Devices” sub-menu

  4. Click “Connect a Device”

  5. Choose the TeleStepper device type in the connect device dialog

  6. Wait for confirmation message

  7. Initialize Stands

TeleStepper Position Presets

FluidPrompter has 6 memory presets for quick recall of TeleStepper stand heights. These presets may be set or recalled from the app user interface or via an XKeys controller.

Troubleshooting

Problem: TeleStepper device does not show up in the Connect Device dialog

  1. Check your USB cable connection.

  2. If the cable is currently plugged into an external USB hub or dock, try a USB port directly attached to your computer.

Problem: TeleStepper device shows up in the Connect Device dialog, but fails to connect once chosen.

  1. Check your Cat5 Ethernet cable connection between the PresenterTek computer interface and the first stand.

  2. Check the ethernet cable between the primary and secondary stands if appropriate.

  3. Check the power to all stands.

  4. If more than one serial device was offered when connecting, make sure you have chosen the correct device.

Problem: The TeleStepper stands are connected but ocassionally don’t work as expected.

  1. Check the control connection cables between the computer and stands for sources of interference. Coiling up large lengths of wire on top of power cables, light fixtures or motors (like fans/heaters/fridges) can be a source of electrical interference.

  2. Check the ends of cables for damage or poorly attached cable terminations.
